hello kanchan mam, the particular girl has, all the blind candidates for that matter, have mentioned their category as PWD and category of PWD as Visually impaired. Other than that, there is no mention or separate column in the UGC NET application regarding the arrangement of scribes. Usually, the coordinating centers would count the total number of blind candidates appearing at their center in each subject and would arrange a scribe themselves. But after the former CCPD's new scribe regulations were implemented, the blind candidates had the option to take their own scribe, and they had to take their scribes at least one day earlier to the coordinating center for permission. If a blind candidate did not opt permission for taking his//her own scribe, it was understood that the coordinators had to arrange a scribe. And they by default arranged a scribe for each candidate. It is only this time (after CBSE taking charge of NET exams) that they come up with new demands and rules for the blind candidates. Will ask the girl to send her NET exam application to your mail mam. thank you.
