The monitor tool is AMD Power Monitor, so I suppose it knows how to monitor the
CPU... ;)
I agree that doing the change "because Windows shows other values" is nasty,
but I think running a processor "out-of-spec" (or "constantly overclocked"),
with subsequent thermal, power and noise problems is somewhat nastier...
