We can see that in eeepc 1005p, ATKD doesn't work and the hotkey events go to
the ACPI video device. so acpi_backlight="vendor" doesn't work.

do you mean that when pressing hotkeys,
1. backlight changes
2. /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/actual_brightness doesn't change
3. no ACPI hotkey events
