Holy cow!, this is really disastrous news! Does 4D really think everybody uses
their tags for generating serious web sites?

Aparajita, is this a 4D API documentation issue or a more fundamental technical
issue? I'm probably ignorant of the requirements, but 4D v12 has a 64 bit
integer field, is there no variable equivalent in the API?

This will make us have to move away from 4D if we can't take advantage of 64
bit OSes.

Am I interpreting correctly that we could use 4D v12 64 bit server with your 64
bit stub as long as we configured Active4D for "4D Client as a Web Server"?

Thanks,
MV

Subject: [Active4d-dev] 64-bit version

Hi,

A few people have asked for a 64-bit version of Active4D. While I *can* make a
64-bit version that will at least load so that 32-bit clients can use the
plugin, but I *cannot* make a 64-bit version that runs natively on the 64-bit
server.
...

Sorry, but there is really nothing I can do about.

Many thanks,

   Aparajita
