My 4D database already runs from a SSD ;-)
Though backups and Journals are saved to a traditional spindle RAID for
peace of mind.

A lot of RAM also adds dramatically to the search performance, in case you
bump up the 4D cache. After you are used to the speed improvement, you'll
notice a huge performance drop after a server restart (even with SSD) until
the cache has filled up again. ;-)
