When you installed RIS it should have asked you for a professional CD. This may have gotten corrupted, or you may have inadvertently corrupted the sif file.
To test, try and add another CD based image using the RIS admin tool.

I have loaded a machine via RIS and have applied appropriate Service Packs
and Hot fixes. However, when I go to run RipRep (from the server that the
