Joost,

Just to clarify, Aelita's Domain Migration Wizard version 5.7 did have
an issue with updating XP profiles. This was fixed in Domain Migration
Wizard 5.8 and Domain Migration Wizard is now at version 6.0.

Additionally, Aelita offers more than one way to update local profiles.
One way is to use an agent, another is to use our login script profile
update utilities found in the Domain Migration Wizard Resource Kit
(included with Domain Migration Wizard).

Finally, using Domain Migration Wizard users can be logged in when
updating their local profile. When using the agent based method, you
will see an error that it could not process the NTUSER.DAT file, but all
the updates needed are made to the registry (where the NTUSER.DAT is
loaded). Once the user successfully logs off and then logs onto the new
AD domain, they will have their correct profile.

As with any project where you are using 3rd party tools, I always
recommend to test as best as you can.

Thanks,

-doug
