Can you ping the DSL router? Can you ping hosts on the internet by name or by IP address? Can you log into the DSL router and hit the internet from there? First step, IMO, would be to isolate a connectivity issue from a DNS issue... Look at subnet masks and default gateway settings if you can't ping out...
