Hi,
what platform are you using WingIDE with?
I used to work with Komodo but switched to WingIDE because it is much
faster and in addition supports debugging Python modules under Zope.
I would recommend WingIDE, and I did not experience crashes. I am using WingIDE since 1.0 and am now using 1.1.3 what is very stable on my Windows XP machine, same under Windows 2000.
