Thanks for that tip Helen, and a very good point. If anyone in nz is
able + willing to research and have a go at streaming off the ichat
conference for us, that would be really fantastic - please let us know
asap!

(the current board is so busy preparing the official agm documents
that we're trying to limit our own technical complexities.)

+ thanks Patrick for the EVO link, another one to explore. I have long
fantasised about finding ways to use KAREN more creatively, having
been to some really dire networked seminars using it. There are
amazing connective conferencing facilities hidden in rooms on campuses
around the country, and it would be great to try using it some time. A
problem in Christchurch at least is that the university (where I work)
is so far out of the way that holding something deep in a building
there feels very inaccesible to our broader public. We'd also like to
use technologies that open up opportunities for connection from
people's own homes etc and that aren't quite so institutionalised.

Let's explore EVO and maybe KAREN for another event though, I'd like
to play with a few different methods for various things, and they need
to be activated in a more creative way!

thanks
zita
