(Sorry if I'm stating the obvious here. Maybe I'm making a point that has already been made...)
I'm not sure what vision everybody has for the CLUE but I really see it as more of an umbrella organization for all the LUGs across Canada. An organization that can give LUGs more clout with governments and other groups. One little LUG like ours may not be able to change things but if we join forces with all the LUGs then we have real power. We need to stand up to the forces that are trying to destroy our freedoms. We're seeing it happen over and over in the USA (just look at the DMCA as one example) and unfortunately, our Canadian government will pretty much do what ever the US tells them to. Maybe we could also look at organizing ourselves for national events such as Comdex, etc. Sorry if that sounds a little too doomsdayish..hehe... Just my 2 cents worth.
