I'll second those who say to stay away from Adobe Encore if at all
possible. Version 1.0 was incredibly buggy and crashed regularly. I
thought that version 1.5 would be an improvement, but it's not --
even after upgrading to 1.51. It refuses to import my 1.0 files
because they have subtitles and for some reason 1.51 can't adapt them
without encountering "abnormal conditions" and crashing. Pretty lame.

If you go to the web site and check out the Encore forum under
"Subtitles" you'll hear a lot of people gnashing teeth and rending
garments, all the while cursing Adobe. They just don't work.

Adobe should be ashamed of Encore. I'm ashamed that I stuck with it
and have now lost a lot of work in the upgrade.
