During the production shoots I used the Panasonic 14mm and 22mm pancake lenses because I wanted to use the AE and AF. This weekend I'll be using Tokina Nikon mount lenses probably though, with a follow focus mechanism for manual focussing. The GH2 is not able to auto adjust iris in AE mode but if you put ISO on auto, it will use the ISO for adjusting exposure and that works surprisingly well. So for example you can put your iris on f5 or f8 and shutter speed on 1/50s and make sure you have enough light to shoot with ISO200 but when neccessary the AUTO ISO will jump in and adjust ISO to maintain proper exposure. I think it's even possible to set a maximum ISO value, you can do that for stills and I am still figuring out how to do this for video.
And the GH2 works very well with Canon lenses as well, there are good lens adapters on the market. But what Canon do you have? The video quality of the Canon camera's is fantastic as well, I shot some amazing stuff with my 7D. Another great thing about the GH2 I forgot to mention is the crop sensor mode. It uses a smaller surface of the sensor so you get more zoom and larger depth of field, without getting more noise or distortion. I switched from normal to crop sensor mode all the time during the production shoots and the 14mm pancake lens. The only downside is that you can't switch during recording, so you have to stop recording, switch, and start recording again. I forgot to do that last thing a few times during the first shoot so I ended up missing a few shots but once you make this mistake you learned and never forget to start recording after the switch again.
