Taking the hat of a Solaris emancipation guy: we need to work on _our_
/usr/bin tools and bring new features in instead of being in hope that
GNU tool maintainers will start to support Solaris - they do not support
Linux either (see many missing features in GNU tar). In addition, it is
important that we keep free enough implementations to allow embedded devices
with OpenSolaris.
