I do remember the ripe, sweet taste with some texture left in my memory sense, 
and that same experience makes me feel hungry for a banana sometimes.

It is true often I can't remember the person's name, but I remember his/her 
voice, the mannerism, and the striking features if there is one.  However, I 
still remember my mother's features, and the way she smiles and speaks - how 
her eyes and mouth move, even though she has passed away long time.
