Yes, that's the perfect way to put it. The older one is wonderful. The book, I believe, was published in 1975. The title is set in Syntax, a typeface that was designed in 1968, but the logo is older. I haven't been able to track down any info in the short time since Miller's post, but it looks like it was set in an adaptation of Futura, probably hand-drawn by Martin.
