So start by your ping test between radios and make sure it's the RF link (you do have to have both radios in the same IP subnet).
I think those AC radios will tell you live modulation graphs, watch that for a bit. Bandwidth, too. What kind of bandwidth do you need? Doing 40 MHz wide is pretty wasteful and as said, you could be the source of your issues/interference - a 10/20 MHz would be more spectral efficient, give you a better signal, and could solve your problem.
