I'm thinking we just need to have a comedy roast at AFMUG or one of the
shows and let the best comedians have at it.

I’m not sure if it’s the cheap part or the whores part that bothers him.
There’s a joke that ends:
“What do you think I am?”
“We’ve already established what you are, now we’re just haggling about
the price.”

I agree that the “cheap whores” comment is both the most politically
incorrect and the funniest thing I’ve seen this morning. Kudos.

Is anyone still keeping a list of Steve quotes? When perusing the
messages from this list I often search for certain posters who send
out the most informative posts in terms of technology, business or

Ken / Daniel / Gino / 2 Pauls / Forrest / Eric and many more names
that I forget)... and Steve. Insightful and hilarious POV.

I changed it to WPA2 AES and rebooted it a few times it eventually let

I dont like running beta, Im not all that fond of running UBNT, but
cheap whores are always there when you need them.
The problem boils down to poor network management on my part, that WPA
tkip should not have been configured on that link, I dont know why it
was, I should be fired, so I can go work at mcdonalds, make more
money, and get fat too.

The newer production firmwares don't allow it either. WPA2-AES
offloads the encryption to a dedicated processor or something like
that, so it does not affect the performance of the radio. It seems
like that is what I read. We use it on all of our links anyway so it
wasn't a change for us.

Downgrade firmware, or I'm pretty sure you need to drive to the
other end (or use a backup link) to change it.
Don't use beta firmware on production links... (I understand using
beta firmware is often required to get the cheap Ubiquiti
equipment working well, but that's another discussion).

does anybody know a trick to get a radio set to client that is
using wpa2-tkip to connect to this AP that will only do none,
wpa-aes and wpa2-aes. I dont know why the link was set up tkip,
but apparently this beta firmware wont let you use it

old link because its not transmitting?
