If the head takes a 13 mm wrench, it would be an M8 bolt and the nearest SAE size would be 5/16. If it takes a 10 mm wrench, then M6 and the nearest SAE size would be 1/4. HDG bolts are a bit oversize due to the zinc so YMMV (galvanized nuts are tapped oversize to match).
