Everything I do is HDG. What mast sizes would be preferred? From: Bill Prince Sent: Saturday, January 9, 2016 11:19 AM To: af@afmug.com Subject: Re: [AFMUG] Non penetrating mounts
Two things. The one you mentioned about being switchable between flat and peaked roofs. The second thing would be HDG. Almost every one of the "economy" ones I've seen start rusting to pieces after a couple of years. Maybe an easy way to change the mast size would be a plus. Some of the ones on Tessco have 10 different models just to accommodate the mast differences. bp <part15sbs{at}gmail{dot}com> On 1/9/2016 10:05 AM, Chuck McCown wrote: I get constantly asked to do a non penetrating mount. I have always resisted because there are a ton of them out there already. But I get almost daily searches for this term on my website. It appears folks presume I have one. If I did one, I would like to have some feature or quality that differentiates it from the rest. Perhaps a unit that can be locked or hinged for flat or peak mounts. Maybe one with hinged legs that give it a wider footprint using greater leverage so you don’t need as many concrete blocks. I dunno, any ideas?
