I’ll have to take a picture of one at my office. The ones we bought on Amazon have a four bolt ring at the top that is the same as the old 3’ Tripods we used to buy at Radio Shack.

At that size pipe, if we use conduit with center sleeves, usually 2.5”, we can go up to 20’ with enough blocks. We put omni’s on top of them. Our complaint with them is that they don’t have enough adjustment for angle, we could really use 10 degrees. In that case, we use boards to get them close to level. Then we run into flimsy bottoms that flex and bend when you try to adjust them. On a level, flat roof, they are fine. But most residential roofs have some slight angle for water runoff and in that case, they are a pain to work with. My suggestion is a heavier duty base with some way to adjust the pitch on the pole by up to 10 degrees or more. I have always resisted because there are a ton of them out there already. But I get almost daily searches for this term on my website. It appears folks presume I have one. If I did one, I would like to have some feature or quality that differentiates it from the rest. Perhaps a unit that can be locked or hinged for flat or peak mounts. Maybe one with hinged legs that give it a wider footprint using greater leverage so you don’t need as many concrete blocks. I dunno, any ideas?
