As Jon said, their solution was "reboot it". Which sounds like equalizer
or synthesizer got outta whack during or after the fade, assuming ACM is
working properly.

I’ve been pretty happy with our Luminas, although I haven’t deployed any of
theirs in 6GHz. Mostly 11, 13 and 18GHz.
We have plenty that fade during rain/snow and modulation returns to normal when
they can. Not sure what’s up with the 6GHz, but they’re usually pretty
responsive with ideas when you send them all the detailed logs and such.

Awesome. 5 days after turn-up and this happened. Granted, it's a pretty long
path and we knew we'd see fading, but that's what ACM is for. I've heard
nothing but good things about SAF and the Lumina platform, so this is pretty
hard to swallow. I really like these radios and their features, too. Everything
else at the sites is +48VDC, so we went with these because they're polarity
agnostic. So I guess this will be the one and only, and last SAF link we
deploy. This is a major deal-breaker for me.

I've had the same problem with my 6GHz Lumina, several times.
The answer from support was "reboot it". No indication if this would happen
again, what I could do to fix it, or what might have caused it.
At this point I have a 1+1 Lumina plus a 5GHz backup link for when the SAF
drops.
I haven't had a problem with it for a while, however now that I've said
something ...

So I have a 6GHz Lumina configured for 56MHz/256QAM ACM weak FEC. We are
coordinated for variable power and it is active. It's a ~30 mile path on horns.
Apparently the link took some fade yesterday morning. One side was stuck on
32QAM strong FEC. I figured meh, it'll clear. Well I just looked again and it
didn't. I had to reboot (power-cycle was easier) both ends to get it unstuck.
Came right back up at 256QAM both directions. Anyone else seen this before? Is
ACM on these just stupid?
SAF, WTF, I should not have to reboot a $6k pair of radios! And yes, these were
shipped with the latest firmware.
