Still not totally sure what that photo of the PCB means. From: Erich Kaiser Sent: Saturday, July 02, 2016 8:18 PM To: af@afmug.com Subject: Re: [AFMUG] Anyone using the new Mikrotik CCR with passive cooling?
Most of the CCRs have 1 PSU, but two header power connectors, if you look at Faisal's links you can see what we mean. It really would be a simple product to produce. low input cost, probably could sell for $25/piece. It should have screw terminals labeled with input voltage allowed and pos /neg. You could even put in some type of fused /surge protected solution if you wanted to get creative :) Erich Kaiser North Central Tower er...@northcentraltower.com Office: 630-621-4804 Cell: 630-777-9291 On Sat, Jul 2, 2016 at 8:13 PM, Chuck McCown <ch...@wbmfg.com> wrote: I have not really been following this thread. Would be nice if they made a module that would fit into existing AC Plug hole it could have the primary and secondary terminals on it. Chuck? I am not a large WIsp but with 20 sites and more being added each year where I have a Mikrotik at every site plus additional Mikrotik switches to go at the larger sites. Maybe a small drop in the bucket but hey even if they had a module that would replace the power supply with terminals I would buy enough for all my sites and extra for new ones. I am sure Someone (Chuck) could figure it out. Even if it were only for a few Rack mount series. All of our sites have some sort of DC backup no UPS. This includes the few we have with generators.
