They are great for intra/inter rack connectivity as well for cabling servers to 10Gbps TOR switches (which is what we mainly use them for, having 500+ in service for this purpose). Out of the 500+ we have in our datacenters, we have seen a very small number of failures that I am aware of. The ones that have failed have been mainly due to someone cramming them in too small of a space and straining the ends of the cable.
