This is in Ohio I get most of my conduit is from Menards since I am only 15mins away from the local store. Any bend you make in that stuff makes it harder to pull the wires through. But if you can pull the wires and you don't have connectors then what you are describing is just fine. Lowe's didn't have any goose necks or anything so I'm thinking I'll run the conduit up (so the opening is facing earth) and then do a 180* down the silo and into the shack/our NEMA box.
