Dodge Viper ACR smokes the GT350r (65k often with 40k markup, not sure where you see 500k) and Z06 road cars. None of them are track cars.
918 is faster than the ACR on the track by a good 5 seconds. HPDE insurance isn't crazy expensive - a single day is $300 and if you bundle a handful of events it drops pretty steeply.
