When the tide goes out on lunar cycles one might find gems from shipwrecks 
scattered. And if not at least some spiral conches, cellular automata 
seashells, fractal sea slugs... It is possible there are some mathematical 
goodies worth finding that you wouldn't find unless you looked. Then you can be 
confident with high probability that the tide will return.
