This "counter balance" of dualist forces controlling AI may include the
"Safe ASI" initiative rumored to include ex OpenAI senior role players.
Certainly, progressive AI powers are each working on some countertech
strategy.

Personally, I've been an advocate of a generalized "Red Team AI" all along,
regardless of the degree of sophistication.

I'm not partial to the "white hat", "black hat" divide either. It's all
relative.

These days, every perpetrator's a "self justified victim".

If impartiality were possible, I'd pool my opinion in favor of retaining
human autonomy. But, it isn't, so we'll just have to pick sides and stand,
or fall by that.

I'll quote a sincere mentor of mine: "You'll have to choose your empire and
be loyal to it." The voice of reason is usually drowned out.

For future AI, if mutually-exclusive options on the table are 'A' or 'B' or
'C', there's really not much of "free will" left, is there?

Last, if it boils down to a polarizing "For AI" or "Against AI" choice,
which would you choose?

IMO, no matter the choice, if one wanted to remain competitively effective,
it would be necessary to involve a degree of embracing AI technologies.

Hence, now is the time for societies to develop respective human resouce
bases eho would evolve beyond the consumer curve as competent AI-enabled
collaborators. This is what China, Iran, India, Britain, USA, and a number
of future-competitive nations have been doing.

AI is clearly a force multiplier. The race is on. For those who endeavor to
remain on the non-consumer divide of the field, they should not delay too
long before choosing an empire. Freelancing's going to be a hazardous
occupation.

Why? Because "It isnt safe".
