Furthermore, why is the author privileged here?  Once it's under voting,
every voter reads it and decides based on their own understanding on what it
means - the decision to adopt is a consensus on *everybody's* intent and
understanding of the written text.  That's always suspect, which is the main
reason to avoid using it.
