My kernel = 2.4.18-6mdk Ya,you've got the wrong kernel. However, mandrake isn't exactly the "best" OS for compiling matters anyways. It's not really that hard to upgrade the kernel, you just have to figure out how to do it.. Then again, I'd suggest waiting untill the next Drake version, because they've already got Alsa support (halfway) implemented into cooker.
