leave the battery connection on the Telemetrum. This will help the Telemetrum
remember the sattelites, and will get lock much faster.
time of day really affects it too... during the day, I get much better gps
quality.

Hi Terry,

I was outside, but only about 10 feet from my house. I think I had 6 satellites
in the initial solution and 10 in view. I fired it up by itself until it found
a lock and then turned it off. Then I fired up the other two and turned it back
on in the same spot.

I'll turn it on by itself and time it a couple times. Once I have a good feel
for it's lock time I'll try with just the RRC2 and see if it makes a
difference.

Thanks,

Chris

  Chris,

Indoors or out doors? How many satellites were in the solution?

The first time you turn on a GPS receiver in a new location it sometimes
takes longer to lock up than if it is close to where it was last used.

Try the Telemetrum with just the RRC2+ to see if you can eliminate it as
the problem source of the problem.

    Hey guys,

I finished my altimeter bay integration last night. I fired up the
Telemetrum 2.0 by itself and it took 5-10 minutes for it to get GPS lock. I
turned it off and then turned on my camera and Missile Works RRC2+ before
turning on the Telemetrum on this time I let it sit for 6 minutes and it never
found any satellites and never got a lock.

I have the camera board shielded but the camera module is unshielded and
near the Telemetrum. I've been told that writing to the SD card on the camera
produces a lot of noise and can interfere with GPS signals. Any suggestions?
