Dear amanda-users, Has anyone given any thought to (or done) a port of amandad to Windows-XP?
Windows-XP appears to have certain restrictions with samba. For example, I can't access (and therefore can't backup) the /WINDOWS directory through samba under Windows-XP. (Or am I missing something here.) I think it would be better if amandad was actually running on XP and amanda clients could connect to it instead of samba. Has anyone tried this?
