amcheck reports the following for each of the three clients in my test config:

Amanda Tape Server Host Check
-----------------------------
NOTE: Holding disk '/var/amanda/hold': 2720485376 KB disk space available,
using 2720485376 KB
slot 0: contains an empty volume
<SNIP>
slot 28: contains an empty volume
all slots have been loaded
Taper scan algorithm did not find an acceptable volume.
(expecting a new volume)
ERROR: No acceptable volumes found
Server check took 1.036 seconds

Full Disclosure: I deleted the tape labels, so slot0 looks empty, but in two of
three it did have a successful backup while the third one did not. I'm
rewinding back to start to see if I can get a more controlled result to
understand what I'm doing and what is happening. In any case, does this settle
the question of connectivity?

Thanks for the help,
