I knew if I kept reading the answer would come sooner or later to the
problem I'd experienced when I'd briefly played around with this.
There are two machines here: my Amiga and a PC. I normally connect through
the PC using SOCKS, and it works fine, but I'd much rather be the one in
control, so tried setting up IP-NAT so the PC could go out onto the net
through me...
It wasn't log at all, though, before I found that DCC just wouldn't work...
I had no idea why, since I'd specifically turned on the support in
MiamiDx...
I presume, then, it's because I tend NOT to connect to IRC on port 6667.
Demon prefer users to use one of the other ports such as 6665 instead.
I guess it would be interesting to try it with port 6667, then!
