Hmmm, you have a valid point there... But that still leaves everybody
not on Xnet with a problem. And if everybody moves to Xnet, then we

Thats another usage I hadn't even thought about, but it just shows that
there is a demand for this kind of feature.

Hmmm...

Lets say I'm conneced to #amigadk on irc.ircnet.dk, and I descide to
change server to sunsite.auc.dk, then I _loose_ the connection to
#amigadk, and I'll have to join this channal again, manualy, despite the
fact that both of the two servers are on the same IRC-net and thus
share the groups they carry.

I know about this, it's almost a trivial matter, but it's not the feature
I'm after!!

Yep, but IMHO this is more like a workaround instead of a propper solusion
to this problem!
