Hey,

The Protocol log doesn't have the same timestamps as the status log, it's 
earlier.

And, you should logout, change protocol, login. Not just change protocol while 
being logged in, for in that case the server won't be notified of the change.

So please make sure you're on protocol 9, then login, try to add the contact.
If it doesn't work, report like below.
