I've been struggling on how to make a very large canvas display in an app I'm making.
Here a picture of what I'm trying to draw: dl.dropbox.com/u/12945652/temp.PNG At the moment I've implemented it like this: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/12945652/RowView.java But sticking everything and repeating calling ondraw is making scrolling very slow. So I then tried to split the canvas into smaller bitmaps, like this: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/12945652/temp2java.txt But now I'm getting out of memory errors when creating more than 10 bitmaps and then putting them in an ArrayList. Could anyone help please, I'm totally out of ideas on how to implement this. The second options works very well for smaller data and there is no lag at all.
