You're perfectly illustrating my point.

I'm in Engineering, not in PR or Marketing or Project Management or
Product Management or Partner Support. I write code, I support and
maintain it, and on the side I try to help the Android Open-Source
Project with my experience in managing multiple branches in large
codebases, and I also try to help developers who use the SDK when my
experience writing Android code can help, but that's really "it". I
can't speak on behalf of or make decisions for the groups I mentioned
above.
