Oh yeah I hate the whole bidding system concept.  I almost always
instead use the "Buy it now" mechanism which is just a set price.  But
honestly if they were schills then the price you saw before that you
liked was never real.  In terms of ebay strategy I recommend never
bidding twice on anything, just bid once and set a realistic max bid.
If you try to game the system by instead trying to be the last bidder
your more likely to hurt yourself.


Computers aren't something I'd recommend you buy on ebay, because its
a complicated thing with interchangable parts.  But cell phones are
pretty standard.   There is the issue of possible damage to the
device, but again I'd rather buy a lemon on ebay, which is setup to
handle that case, then buy a lemon from another developer I don't
know, over a google group.

If you don't like ebay there must be lots of places that sell used
cell phones professionally.  I wonder if any of them have anything
like a Toyota certified used cell phone :)
