I fully expect Amazon will adjust pricing of the apps, which is pretty
clear from reading the pricing structure of their store (they
specifically built in a ton of flexibility around pricing, and how it
will effect the developer cut). Here is a quote from the Wall Street
Journal: "Amazon reserves the right to set the prices on apps
themselves, splitting proceeds with developers. In its retail and
books business, Amazon has infamously cut costs to win customer
loyalty."

So, what happens when the Amazon store suddenly undercuts the Google
Android Market for the same app. The developer could be in the
position where they are undercutting their own sales on the identical
app. Worst of all, the pricing would be out of their control (at
least on the Amazon store).

Also, I wonder about listing Free apps (there are a ton in the Android
Market). This seems interesting to me, as the additional exposure
would be good, and the pricing shenanigans won't have any impact.

I have been thinking a lot about getting my app out on a variety of
different markets, as more exposure is a good thing (and worth the
minimal hassle of publishing multiple places). I am not sure I am
ready to pull the trigger just yet, but I think Amazon's timing is
good, and definitely gives me something to think about.
