In my opinion it all boils down to which devices the Amazon Market will be bundled with. If HTC suddenly started bundling the Amazon Appstore with all future devices, most developers submit the app as fast as they could to the Amazon Appstore. If this is only bundled with a Kindle type of device running Android then I don't think it will have much of a success.
