It's a great idea and absolutely the developer's right, assuming it's in the EULA. I don't understand the 'douche move, through and through' sentiment. He is not banning people who leave a negative comment and then *stop using the product*. He's banning people who *continue to use it* while being nasty (i.e. 'douches').
