Hi Nischal
Yes thats right, the black bars are not in the video itself, but it appears
because the format 3/4 is wrong.
I allways use handbrake when I convert videos for the iPhone and Android and
I dont get any black bars on my videos, use the iPhone option and
weboptimized in handbrake and I think you will get it right!
Download the handbrake videoconverter at www.handbrake.fr and you will find
the weboptimized there.

Thanks Manmade for the help.
The black bars are not with the source content. they appear on the
android device when we watch them streaming. i think the source
resolution which is 680x480 is not matching the target device display
screen.
I tried a video with 480x320 which gave me some good result but not
completely i.e 480x320 video fit to screen on devices which has
display of 480x320 but any higher display screen devices like Samsung
note, Motorola defy, and Samsung TAB etc gives black bar either on
the top and bottom or side ways.
I am not able to get a standard resolution which will work for all
the devices with different screen sizes.
B/W what is "weboptimized option" you are talking about. how we do
that.
Regards
Nischal.

I think that the issue is that the video is recorded in 3/4 format and not
widescreen, thats why you get the black bars.
If you download handbrake.fr there you can cut the black bars in the
settings when you convert the video.
I convert all my videos as mp4s with the weboptimized option for it to
start
playing at ones without buffering.
This works good both on iPhone and Android.
Hope it helps.
