I have successfully formatted ext2 and mounted my 2GB SD. I have
configured the destination in ipkg.conf for ipkg to be /media/card.
It does install there. So I installed for starters 'minimo' and 'mrxvt'.

I find that unlike when I installed dillo to destination 'root /',
there is nothing on the desktop after installation. Typing minimo or
mxrvt into the shell tells me the command is unknown. If I precede
the commands by /media/card/usr/bin/ then mrxvt at least opens,
whereas minimo complains that /usr/lib/mozilla-minimo/minimo is missing.

Guess there may be something wrong with minimo - and I only installed
it to see if I could install something. But I just wondered if I am
doing something fundamentally wrong that makes it so that installed
apps are not recognised either as desktop links or shell commands,
and is there some quick way of making them so, and for all I know the
slew of libraries that get installed automatically with them.

Finally, am I right to be installing things to /media/card? The root
partition on the Z itself (c860) seems very small after what I have
been used to on the pdaXrom.

Thanks for any help.

-John
