Right. Got that. So back to my original question about installing on  
to an SD...

If I install ipkg-utils now, so that it and the space-eating python  
go on the SD, will at least ipkg-link still work so I can ipkg-link  
all the libraries/apps that thus far are un-linked? Or will it too  
fail? i.e. do I have to install it on / root?

And why so little space left for / root anyway? Dare I mention how  
much I had with pdaXrom (think I already did). Just intrigued.
