Yes. I doubt ipkg-link would work out-of-box if you install it anywhere 
other than root.

I've not had time to take a look at task-base yet. But, yes this is a 
problem right now on Tosa and other space-challenged Z.

AFAIK on Tosa, pdaXrom repartitioned the 64M flash to 57M  /  and 7M 
/home, while Angstrom keeps relatively the same Sharp ROM layout (i.e. 
~32M / and ~32 /home). Certainly we can change the layout in 
updater.sh.  But I need to ask more experienced dev's (esp. hrw) opinion 
on this.
