Ah here we go, found my old mail: Try all of the following, with the iwmmxt mplayer.
mplayer -vo pxa -vm -noaspect -double -framedrop -quiet <file> mplayer -vo pxa -vm -ao alsa -af resample=441000 -noaspect -double -framedrop -quiet <file> mplayer -vo pxa -vm -noaspect -double -framedrop -quiet -noslices <file> mplayer -vo pxa -vm -ao alsa -af resample=441000 -noaspect -double -framedrop -quiet -noslices <file> Does one of these work well? I have tested with lots of different video files, and have got good results, as long as the video is not much more than 320x240.
