So this works really well.  I can play movies.

The only problem is that when I exit mplayer, the top and bottom of the
screen is flipped; the lower half of the screen appears at the top, and
the upper half appears at the bottom, with the task bar in the middle....

Suspend/resume clears it up, so I assume mplayer isn't doing a video reset
properly.  Is there a way to reset the screen without suspend/resume?
