You have to register * a SID range. This provides the frame into which the individual allocations are then recorded by the SID file. Registration of the SID range ensures that there can’t be collisions. * a YANG module. This basically is a YANG feature. What’s new here is that the module does not just come with a YANG file, but also a SID file, which also needs to be registered. How would you do this with fewer registries?
