Bruce to the best of my knowledge most people accept O/S 8 to be the most reliable so if your experience was 7.6 - unlucky.
Have an imac running 9.1 - no complaints Can't really comment on O/S X. Also if you get other people to change hardware for you , I'm not sure your in a position to comment. Just finally in the process of e-baying off the last of my Apple][ stuff, so don't really feel upto commenting there either. In fact it may even be time for me to think about unsubscribing from this list !!!
